What's Behind the Lens
WHO?
Me, Nick Gaskell, I started taking photos in the early eighties, mostly of Railways which were a childhood passion and have been taking photos ever since, (although not necessarily of trains).
I now, even in this digital age, still prefer to shoot film, 6 x 6 medium format Digital is great, but with film you are forced to think, to plan, to create. This does not mean however, that I am stuck in the past, and do shoot digital, but it does mean that I can offer the full "retro" option for those who like that little bit of something extra...
When I'm not shooting weddings and other commercial work, I can be found,(still with a camera) looking for inspiring shots in and around my native South West , check out my Instagram feed (and yes, still looking at trains).
